How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

How old do I have to be to get a piercing?
-People 14 to 18 may be pierced with parent or guardian consent. Parent must be present, with a valid state picture I.D., and child must have a photo I.D., with a certified or original birth certificate. If a legal guardian is signing, they must have a valid I.D. and paper work from the court showing guardianship with notary seal. No exceptions! People 18 and over still must provide a picture I.D.

How much will my tattoo cost?
-To get an accurate estimate, come in and talk to an artist. The studio has a $50 minimum that guarantees you are tattooed in a modern studio with sterilized instruments, with brand new needles, inks, and caps for each and every person.

Are your artists licensed?
-All of our artists have completed First Aid, CPR, and Blood Borne Pathogens classes, possess certificates of completion, and are permited by the Dawson county enviromental health dept. after having had a health physical from a doctor, ensuring they are free of any communicable disease and are mentally and physically able to perform the duties as a tattoo artist. They also have to have a background check, and only then are they given a license with their photo on it, issued by the Marshall's office. The studio is inspected on a regular basis and is permitted by the Dawson Co. Enviromental Health.

My friend's cousin will do my tattoo for $20! Why should I go to a studio?
-If anyone is working out of their kitchen/basement/garage, not only is it illegal in the state of GA, but there's a good reason they're working out of their home, and aren't working in a real tattoo studio! Ask them if they meet any of the above requirements to tattoo in GA. If they can't show you any kind of proof, you're in the wrong place to be getting a tattoo. Think about your safety! Do they have autoclaved equipment? A sterile enviroment? Or even the skill and experience that comes from working in a studio for years? Our shopowner has been in this business for over 40 years- any studio is safer than someone's home!
